is a virtuoso, versatile, Dutch percussionist, with a preference for his specialization; the vibraphone. The combination of his classical and jazz studies gave him a broad view on music. Houdijk has an investigative attitude, curious about many various types of collaborations within music and musical styles. He masters many percussion instruments and has mainly focused on the vibraphone in the past 15 years. His music style cannot be described in one word since his inspiration is mainly influenced by world music, classical, minimal and improvised music.
