Nearly four decades ago, a precocious young brassman who played a Leblanc trumpet caught the attention of Vito Pascucci, then president and now chairman and CEO of G. Leblanc Corporation. A blurb in the March, 1960, Leblanc Bandsman, a forerunner to the Leblanc Bell, reported: “Young Glenn [Zottola] has certainly begun to carve a lasting mark for himself in the trumpet world, and it goes without saying that talent such as this is bound to make itself known on an even wider scale in the near future. Remember this young artist’s name! You’ll be hearing it often in years to come as Glenn Zottola’s abundance of talent becomes tempered with that invaluable ingredient called experience.” These words proved prophetic indeed

Ofer Shapira

Ofer Shapira is a Tel-Aviv based Saxophone/multi-wind performer and Jazz composer/arranger. His delicate, melodious playing style has been described as 'sweetly subversive, music that woos and insinuates' by the New-York based jazz critic Michael Steinman. Ofer has played lead alto with many bands and large groups including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. the Eli Degibri big band, the Eyal Vilner big band and many others. He has also played with many Tel- Aviv based small groups such as the Mamelo Gaitanopolous Sextet, the Danny Rosenfeld Octet and his own jazz quartet. Ofer has also been active in the theater and popular music genre playing In the original Broadway production of the musical ‘Chicago’ and performing with some leading Israeli singers such as Ilanit, Yoni Rechter, Yehoram Gaon, Rona Kenan and others

David Jans is a Maastricht/Luxembourg based Alto Sax player and Composer. Due to his education and influences he likes juggling around many different styles but with a main focus on Jazz. Artistically, David is influenced by many artists from Jazz to Classic to Film Music and any kind of Rock Music, such as Kenny Garrett’s expressive sound on Alto Sax, or the incredibly story telling music from Hans Zimmer with the simplest melodies or even the powerfulness of metal music. At the moment he is working on his own project the „David Jans Quartet“ with friends from the Conservatorium Maastricht where he is studying at
