so what does THIS all mean? - after a recent stint with area bands it was important to take some time to breathe and step out of the COLLECTIVE VISION. this of course gave me plenty of time to ponder: just what IS the point of all this noise? mostly its about FREEDOM. the freedom to set out and create without any plan or purpose. the freedom to try as hard as possible not to try. the freedom TO reconnect with the web of creation and translate the ether. the power of the butterfly to CREATE a typhoon with the flap of its wings. after all, what is matter but a bunch of quivering particles responding to one another like riders on a subway. you create a sound, it creates a vibration, which impacts matter, which changes everything. there was a time when we were all artists and free expression was a birth right. we can all reclaim our birth right by remembering how to create free art that is of the moment. break the shackles of sanctioned creative expression. play free or die. there is no other way. and that is where this is all at for NOW.
