Drew Engman

Drew has been into music since elementary school, played in all the high school and college bands, and professionally from 1980 to the present.

About Me

I'm a “Valley dude,” born in Burbank, the youngest child of a great Disney animator. I started taking music lesson in 5th grade, and got serious in 8th grade, taking music theory, jazz harmony, reading, and writing music lessons from a great old school jazz guitarist. I played guitar in my high school and college jazz bands, banjo in dixieland bands, acoustic guitar in bluegrass bands, and electric guitar in classic rock, country, blues, pop and top 40 bands. I played music professionally from about 1979 until 1992. I then played for about 11 years in contemporary Christian electric worship bands. I now perform with my wife as a duo and teach.
