Worked with Candy Dulfer, Johnny Lang, Tony Scott, Wayne Brady, Jeff Trachta, Philip Michael Thomas, Billie Myers, Linda De Mol, Big Logic, Deezer Dee, blues legend Solomon Burke and more. Wright was born in Buffalo, New York and raised in Connecticut, where she grew up listening to singers like Michael McDonald, Barry White and Neil Diamond. At age 9, she began playing the clarinet in the marching band, taught herself the flute, and acted in the school theatre. By age 16, she was performing professionally with the award winning community theatre, the Alliance Theatre” in plays “Diary Of Anne Frank,” “Member Of The Wedding,” and “You Can’t Take It With You,” with productions that aired on public television. She also starred in a local crime investigation television program called “Crime Stoppers.”

At 23, this bi-racial beauty moved to Los Angeles and then to Amsterdam, where she began a collaboration with Dutch record producer Rene van Verseveld and group Def La Desh resulted in several pop and club hits, including the 1990 single Feel The Rhythm” which enjoyed rotation on VH1, BET and MTV and reached #20 in the Nederlands top 40. Wendy Alane Wright also enjoyed other solo hit singles; “Unforgiven” (1992) which reached #30 in Nederlands Disco Dance Charts, and 1994's (also titled) “Feel The Rhythm,” produced by DJ Juanito, remixed by Fernando Garibay, which became a huge LA club hit and appears on numerous compilation CD's.

Wright also co-wrote, co-produced and performed featured vocals on the Tatjana Simic pop hit “Feel Good” which reached #25 in Nederlands Top 40, went Platinum in Scandinavia and appears on numerous compiltation CDs worldwide.

Wendy Alane Wright has so much energy on stage she has been compared to Mick Jagger. She is known for a range comparable to Mariah Carey’s. Her voice is soulful and crystal clear. Wendy is a sought after vocalist and has worked with many notables including; Candy Dulfer, Johnny Lang, Tony Scott, Wayne Brady, Jeff Trachta, Philip Michael Thomas, Billie Myers, Linda De Mol, Big Logic, Deezer Dee, and blues legend Solomon Burke. Wright has been in numerous plays, four national Verizon commercials, and has displayed her acting chops in several movies and over 80 television shows including ER, Chicago Hope, 7th Heaven, Ally MacBeal, Family Matters, and Friends.

After extensive live performances in the US during the years 2000-2006 with bands including the jazz group Asha, swing band “Art Deco and His Society Orchestra” and her own R&B Blues Band Billy's Night Out, Wendy's first solo album “As I Am,” was released January 2007.
