My Jazz Story

I love avant-jazz because it challenges the straight ahead jazz which is stuck in fifty year old molds. I was first exposed to jazz via the Sun Ra axis. The best show I ever attended was Derek Bailey and Richard Tietelbaum in a loft in NYC in the 1980's The first jazz record I bought was Sun Ra Angels and Demons at play. This is my template.
