Michael Khoury

About Me

Born in Central Michigan, I studied violin at a young age and switched to electric bass. I played bass in various ensembles from 1987-1999. In 1997, I switched back to violin and have studied extensively since 1999 with the esteemed violinist/composer David Litven. I've had the good fortune to play with musicians from all over the world. My current playing partners include drummer Ben Hall, saxophonist Jason Shearer, and reedmen Piotr Michalowski and Len Bukowski. Some of the labels I've recorded for include Entropy Stereo, Public Eyesore, Detroit Improvisation, Foreign Lands, American Tapes, ABZU and the Snowdonia label.
