This New Jersey born guitarist has plied his trade internationally for more than forty years. A die hard mainstream jazz enthusiast, he has dedicated his life to the rules of straight ahead jazz. Jim's loyality to his chosen idiom is matched by his fidelity to musical friends. Flutist Tony Signa is a twenty five year associate. DeAngelis has performed for long periods of time with many of the jazz legends i.e. Howard Mcghee, Albert Daily, Maxine Sullivan, Joe Carrol, Sam Jones, Arthur Prysock, Walter Bolden, Calvin Hill, Ted Curson. He has performed all over the east coast of the USA and in England, and has a limited but outstanding Grammy nominated record discography on the Statiras and Stati record labels.
