An Englishman in Stockholm
I have worked with music since 1999, first as a wannabe journalist at university, then as a
real one, covering the local and international jazz scene in Barcelona, where I went to
produce
records and set up shows in collaboration with Primavera Sound.
While in Spain, I worked for Fresh Sound Records in Barcelona for five years on hundreds of
CD productions. The label focussed on modern jazz recordings from the mid-1950s and
also
contemporary jazz recordings - including the first releases by Robert Glaspar, Kurt
Rosenwinkel, Brad Mehldau and others. I also worked as a Content Acquisition Consultant
for
eMusic and as Communications Manager for mail order company Jazz Messengers, as well
as
helping set up the first AAJ Download Store back in 2006.
Now settled in Sweden, I work as a copywriter and editor in Stockholm, writing English
copy for Scandinavian brands and creative agencies.
