Chacho Ramirez

About Me

Chacho Ramirez is a percussionist and drummer specializing in Latin music and jazz. Mr. Ramirez performs throughout the metropolitan area and maintains a studio of private percussion students. He works regularly as a Teaching Artist in public schools and has a written study guide on the history of music in the Caribbean. Chacho has performed with such artists as Ahmad Jamal, Olatunji (Drums of Passion), Manny Duran, Jose Fajardo, and Edy Martinez, and he has led drum clinics together with Alan Dawson, Max Roach and Joe Morello.
