Jazz Academy),Off Broadway Shows,Cotton Club, NYC Blue Note and
national commercials under her belt of over 25 years experience
professionally with write-ups in various magazines including Jazztimes,
Jazzis, NYC Times,City Newspaper,Maxx Myricks's Maxx House ,
NYC Hot House. Alpha Phi Delta. Has received active radio airplay.
Performances with:; Wycliffe Gordon,Clark Terry, Wayne
Newton, Eddie Henderson,Quincy Jones, Performed Hello Young
lovers chart written by the late Don Costa at the Sarah Hotel private
event with several members from the Frank Sinatra band . Also
performed with members who were of the Count Basie Band including
few George Caldwell. Marchelle was singing with Mustfa Orchestra
when Dee Dee Bridgewater graced her stage and it was put in JazzIZ
Magazine,David Fathead,Wynard Harper, Kuni Mikani,Barry Harris,
Sabu Adeoyla,Andy Calabrese,Mike Melito,Sylvia Cuenca and Carmen
Intorre just to name a few.
Marchelle also adds her ability to play piano and guitar on her shows
and recordings as well.

Sylvia Cuenca, Kim Clark, Helen Sung and special guest trumpeter Dr.
Eddie Henderson. George Eastman House singing and playing her
originals w/ Eastman student bassist Katie Ernst.
Whitney Marchelle performed Dec 26th, 2010 at Carnegie Hall with the
New York Jazz Acedemy
In 2010 Marchelle performed at Eastman in Rochester NY playing piano
and singing for the Women in Jazz Music Festival teaching a jazz vocal
Clinic under Dr. Derrick Smith of Eastman with was aired on channel 8.
Whitney Performed at the African American Festival with Tia Fuller
which her segment was televised on channel 13.
Marchelle performed with bassist Sabu Adeyola and quartet at the Pine
Grill Jazz Festival Reunion in Buffalo 2010.
A.F.T.R.A./S.A.G Spike Lee's produced STATE FARM commercial. For

Guest at the Killbourne Hall at the Xerox Rochester Jazz festival 2010
when called up on stage with the African Bassekou-Kouyate & Ngoni Ba
group where they traded impromtu jazz & blues licks and received a
standing ovation 2010. In 2008 a scheduled performance with the
Musican Educators Big Band under the direction of Howard Potter for
the Rochester Jazz Festival.

Wayne Newton gives the nickname of “Slick” to Marchelle for her soulful

Whitney also made a guest appearance with Dave Bergers jazz band at
