About Me

Marc Beaudin is a poet, theatre artist and performer in Livingston, Montana. His latest audio project is the album “From Coltrane to Coal Train: An Eco-Jazz Suite,” featuring music by members of the bands Morphine and Orchestra Morphine, Dana Colley, Billy Conway and Laurie Sargent. He has performed and recorded with numerous jazz, rock and blues musicians including Bill Payne of Little Feat, the Big Sky Jazz Trio, and the highly acclaimed, experimental jazz collective, The Northwoods Improvisers. He is the author of These Creatures of a Day, Life List: Poems, and the hitchhiking memoir Vagabond Song: Neo-haibun from the Peregrine Journals. His work has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Orion, Cutthroat, Whitefish Review, and Deep Wild Journal. Formerly he fronted the poetry bands Miscellaneous Jones and Remington Streamliner. Despite all available evidence, he believes the Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D is more powerful than all the guns, smokestacks and boardrooms in the world. More at CrowVoice.com.
