Jazz reviewer of long-standing, with credits in several jazz periodicals, a newspaper and AAJ now.
I was born in the Upper Midwest, and graduated from high school and college. My working life included jobs with three daily newspapers as a reporter, state editor and copy editor, as well as doing a jazz column for the last of the three for more than 25 years. Started writing about jazz in the late '60s for several periodicals and have continued through the present. Also did jazz shows for a public radio station for seven years.
