Bob's bass lines fuse progressive rock, jazz, blues and gospel into a seamless new whole.
With 30 years of electric bass playing under my belt, I have experience in many styles of music. My influences include not only bassists like Jaco Pastorius and Geddy Lee, but also an eclectic mix of artists ranging from Frank Sinatra, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Led Zeppelin, to Miles Davis, Peter Gabriel and Eva Cassidy. All of these far-flung interests are fused together in my bass playing, which I strive to keep melodic yet firmly locked in the pocket. I am currently recording a CD with my band Eloquent Edge which should be available in April 2009 if everything goes according to plan. I can be heard playing bass and singing backup on Montreal artist Bruce Corian's eponymous debut CD, as well as on Angel In My Eyes, a compilation CD where I do bass and backups with Dr. Sinister on the track 'Hero'. Streaming versions of some of my more recent work can be heard at www.eloquentedge.ca as well as at www.reverbnation.com/eloquentedge and www.myspace.com/eloquentedge
