Thomas Albaek Jakobsen, born in Aalborg, Denmark, 1975. Drummer, composer, educator and jazz entrepreneur. Master of Arts degree in music and jazz history from Aalborg University where he also has been working on different research projects mainly concerning danish jazz oral history. Currently he entrepreneurs the JazzNord project which is a new initiative to stimulate jazz in the northern part of Denmark. In jazz performance he has played in everything from trio to big band but currently the focus is on the quartet Jazz Collective, the sextet JazzNord Ensemble and the Rat Pack tribute band The Hack Pack.
