Vincent Gardner

Trombonist Vincent Gardner has recorded as a leader on SteepleChase Records and has performed with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Count Basie Orchestra and more.

About Me

Gardner was born in Chicago but raised in Virginia. While attending the University of North Florida Gardner worked at various Floridian theme parks where he met Mercer Ellington. Gardner moved to Brooklyn after graduating college and has gone on to play with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Duke Ellington Orchestra, Bobby McFerrin, Count Basie Orchestra, Frank Foster, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Nancy Wilson, McCoy Tyner, Nicholas Payton, Illinois Jacquet, Tommy Flanagan, Marcus Roberts, Jimmy Heath and others on the jazz side and Lauren Hill, Chaka Kahn, A Tribe Called Quest, Common and Outkast on the pop/hiphop side. Gardner has released four albums as a leader for SteepleChase Records, including the forthcoming Three-Five.
