About Me

Bay Area saxophonist. Graduate of the New School jazz program and studies with George Garzone, Eric Person, Chico Hamilton and Junior Mance. Currently playing and leading own groups as well as teaming up with former New School roommate Nick Follett to be the front line of older brother's Hammond organ groove quintet/ quartet the Nick Rossi Set, whose debut CD was released the week of 11/13/06. Also performing in the Bay Area with saxophone trio/ quartet The Squatoolas with longtime Bay Area saxophonist Jim Peterson and baritone player (and another former New School student)Charles Gurke, playing mostly original compositions. Finally working on own album as leader, something that has taken years to materialize.
