I now also have a series going at Montreal's Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill and have presented the Steve Kuhn trio (Steve Swallow and Billy Drummond), Sheila Jordan,and Grant Stewart. Tommorow night (Feb.1) is Monique Fauteux, a wonderful singer and on Feb 27-28, another great singer, Dorothee Berryman, who's also a jazz radio host and producer, as well as a stage and screen actor (The Barbarian Invasions won an Oscar).

I current do my own radio show, “Dobbin's Den” do personal research for the Dorothee Berryman network radio shows, review CDs for MIRROR, write for CODA, act as an advisor for UPSTAIRS JAZZ BAR & GRILL. I am also a jazz photographer, vote in the Down Beat Critics Poll and have been given an MASTERWORKS Award by the Audio Visual Preservation Trust in 2005 for my body of work in radio -the only jazz related broadcaster to get this award. Pepper Adams' Dobbin' Nick Ayoub's Dobbin's Nest and Oliver Jones' Len's Den were written in my honour and Reg Schwager's Red Pepper Rose is for Pepper Adams and I.
