About Me

Mirando al Sur Radio is the suite of a radio show created in 2005 by Marta Elia and Marcello Pedrolo. The original show aired on KCBX Public Radio from January 2005 and went off the air on April 2009.

My name is Marcello and together we'll look south into the new age of South America's music styles, bringing you the new era of fusion. As Bossa Nova influenced Jazz, I'll demostrate how Jazz makes its way back down south yet to be absorbed by Tango and Folklore (among other styles), giving birth to a new generation of music; some of it yet unknown by many of us.
