Gary Gomes has been playing music since the age of 13 (Keyboards, guitars, bass, harmonica, electronics). In that time, he has explored rock, jazz and experimental music with various fellow noisemakers. Becoming interested at an early age in groups like Cream, the Doors and Soft Machine, he graduated to free jazz and other forms of jazz at age 19, and has also covered various forms of avant garde classical music. He has been an assistant fine arts editor, radio show host, and has also played with individuals who later went on to play with various Canterbury school personalities (Absolute Zero). Also interested in astrology and metaphysics, he is an internationally known Vedic Astrologer and is a Swami of the Temple of Kriya Yoga out of Chicago, Illinois, and a Shaivite Hindu.
