I first got into jazz doing shows on the student station at Boston University in the mid-70's. From 1980 through 1986, I was a jazz producer and DJ at WWNO, New Orleans' NPR affiliate. Among the shows I produced there was Milestones in Jazz, a 36-part series of hour-long shows on jazz history hosted by Ellis Marsalis. Now living in San Francisco, I've been a freelance writer, publishing articles on jazz and other crucial issues, since 2000. Last year, I also began doing PR/publicity for Jazz at Pearl's nightclub in beautiful North Beach, San Francisco.
