Greg Henry Waters has lived in New York City since 1978 and also has lived in many other cities. He is currently 52 years old. He has performed and lived in Milwaukee, Toronto, Chicago, Dallas and New York. He made his professional debut with the Bob Crosby Orchestra when he was 16 years old. He has performed in Orchestras, Dance Bands Chamber Groups and Jazz Bands: Shreveport Symphony, West Side Story with the Dallas Symphony in Mexico, Bill Russo Band, Billy May Band and Rogers & Hammerstein Orchestra. Greg's goal was to be a composer, ever since he was six years old, but it took him a long time to realize this goal, however, at present, he has written hundreds of compositions in both jazz and classical music. Some of his major compositions are Concerto for Two Violins and Orchestra, Concerto for Band and Strings, Jazz Music Library for a 10 member jazz ensemble, two jazz albums, and over 50 1/2 hour TV shows on music and performance.

Some of the awards Mr. Waters has won were the American Music Foundation Award, Ontario Arts Council Composition Awards, National Endowment for the Arts Grant, NY State Council on the Arts-Meet the Composers Grant, Music Performance Trust Fund Grants, and CMP's NY Council on the Arts Grant. While in college Greg Henry Waters received grants from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, University of North Texas, and Berklee School of Music, Boston.

While in New York, Greg started The Greg Waters Jazz Chamber Orchestra, The Greg Waters Composer's Ensemble, The Music Show and The Children's Music Show. He formed Creative Music Productions in 1977-78. Mr. Waters was trained at The University of North Texas, BM. The Chicago Conservatory College, MM. in Music Composition and Theory. Later, Greg received a diploma in supervisory management from La Salle Extension University, Chicago and Producer Certificate from Bronxnet Community Cable Company here in New York City. Greg's oldest jazz group is his quartet, The Greg Waters Quartet Plus, In 1988-89 He decided to once again bring his work and musical knowledge to the attention of others and placed all his recordings and musical compositions in the American Music Center Library here in New York City. Dr.Francois D'Albert, President of Chicago Conservatory College said, “Mr. Waters is one of the most important musicians of this century.” We believe this to be true.
