Getting to Know Charlotte Doreen Small… As She Introduces Her Debut Album “More”

In 1993, during the first World Trade Center bombing, Charlotte thought her life was coming to an end as smoke filled the building and she contemplated her fate while trapped on the 47th floor.

Then, on September 11, 2001, she survived the burning inferno of the World Trade Center and knew her fate was to pick up the pieces of her life and forge forward to focus on her musical career. She knew she must live to share the music in her soul.

Since then, Charlotte has done just that and shows no sign of slowing down. The powerhouses of Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, and Ella Fitzgerald influence the creation of her music.

Charlotte has performed on some of the best-known stages, including Madison Square Garden, The Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center and more at home and abroad.

In the corporate world, she performs for the Bloomberg Financial Organization, American Express, MetLife, Pepsi, The American Heart Association, MasterCard and many more.

Charlotte was chosen to select the special musical pieces, arrange, conduct and perform as the featured artist for the “John F. Kennedy Jr., Memorial Service,” many of the “Sept 11th Tributes” including Tributes to the NYC Fire Fighters, and others.

She has also graced the Off Broadway stage in the shows: Rock-a-my-Soul, Sweet Blessings, Going Back Home and Sweet Dreams.

She’s performed for and before NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, United States Senators, Governors and even a former President of the USA.

This talented artist has performed and appeared with: Neil Diamond, Elizabeth Taylor, Mona Lisa, Ruff Endz, Barbara Tucker, Ultra Nate, Terry Hunter, Kenny Dope Gonzales, and Grammy Award winners “Louie Vega” and “Speech,” from Arrested Development and Sony’s new Rock Sensation, Teddy Geiger.

Now, in 2007, Charlotte will introduce her debut album “Second Chance” on Independent Label, Midnite Enterprises. The first single, Goodbye, will be released fittingly on September 11, 2007.

The album will feature original tunes co-written and arranged by Charlotte as well as newly arranged covers (Who Can I Turn To, Yesterday Once More, Since I Fell For You, Too Much Heaven).

This Pop-Jazz album has immense crossover potential.

Armed with an overwhelming desire to perform, Charlotte will lift you to new heights musically and romantically pulling at your heartstrings one minute, tapping your feet and dancing in the aisles the next.
