Born on June 24, 1980 in Basel.

Currently playing with his own group DART with Simon Spiess (sax), Jeremias Keller (b) and Fred Bürki (dr), as well as Isabelle Ritter's ELISA DAY, the Benjamin Knecht Jazz Orchestra and various other groups.

Lukas Frei plays the Trumpet “Silverart” and the Flugelhorn “Wood” handmade by Tommy Inderbinen, Inderbinen Blasinstrumente, Switzerland
