About Me

Jim Head has worked with such artists as Sheila Jordan, Tim Hagans, Lew Tabackin, Kirk MacDonald, John O'Gallagher, Ralph Bowen, Gene Bertoncini, David Braid, Christine Jensen, Joel Miller, Eddie Daniels, Steve Slagle, Hugh Fraser, P.J. Perry, Jane Bunnett, Tommy Banks, Doug Riley, and Kelly Jefferson among others. He has made concert, festival, and club appearances across Canada as well as the U.S., Mexico, and China.

Jim has appeared on over 40 recordings, including his 2015 Juno award-nominated release, Zoetrope. In addition to his busy schedule as a performer, Jim is an assistant professor and the guitar department head at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Canada.
