Founded Big Apple Jazz Tours, EZ's Woodshed, and the Underground Big Apple Jazz Fest
I've been maintaining a list of jazz clubs on the internet at www.bigapplejazz.com since 1997 and have been leading off-the-beaten path jazz tours during that period as well. In 2006 I opened Harlem's first all day jazz cafe across the street from historic sites such as Connie's Inn, Lafayette Theater, Count Basie's Club and the legendary Tree of Hope. In 2009 I initiated the Underground Big Apple Jazz Fest. When All About Jazz got started I wrote their New York Jazz Club reviews for the online site and for the monthly printed New York Edition. My jazz photos have appeared in the New York Times, Jazz Times, and several other domestic and international publications.
