Von Babasin, bassist, composer, filmmaker, and son of the late, great Harry Babasin
Von has dedicated his life to the preservation of west coast jazz and the innovative evolution of the artform. Sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts to produce his father's documentary film, Harry Babasin's Jazz In Hollywood, Von continues to rewrite the history books to include his father and the many amazing musicians that defined the west coast jazz movement of the 40's and 50's. Coupling that with his own innovative jazz rock group, ONOFFON, Von is also on a journey to build a west coast jazz museum and broadcast facility that will highlight instrumental virtuosity and influence creative music into the 21st century.
