Erik Lamberth
Loves playing Jazz Guitar
About Me
A guitarist from the Philadelphia area, Erik's releases of guitar based Jazz & Blues
instrumentals is described as relaxing background music for your life. With his new band,
The Erik Lamberth Jazz Quartet, they recently released the jazz album, Opportunity. He
started on saxophone at age 10, and within a few years was performing original
arrangements from the Glen Miller Orchestra. A guitarist for nearly 30 years, he has
performed with numerous ensembles, including The Haverford College Jazz Ensemble (Guitar
and Saxophone) and the Rock 'n Blues Band Roadrunner. He has also played with several
ensembles while studying Guitar and Music Production at the Berklee College of Music. His
CD's are Candlewood Blues, Three Guitars, and the new Jazz Quartet release, Opportunity.
The band, The Erik Lamberth Jazz Quartet, was originally the concept of Seattle producer
Cyrus Rhoads after hearing Erik’s solo album, Three Guitars. The idea was to expand the
jazz songs into a full length jazz CD with excellent musicians. As fate would have it, there
were outstanding players locally. Vince Ryan, Tom Wyatt, and, Leif Dunn, along with Erik,
recorded the first CD from the Erik Lamberth Jazz Quartet, Opportunity. Recently, Harry
Johnson has taken over duties on Bass, and now the band finds itself as an all Advent
Lutheran Church band. - See more at:
