"Modern" music creates a large vacuum
About Me
I believe in expanding minds and horizons when it comes to culture.
My Jazz Story
I was first exposed to jazz as a child. My father played Sinatra, Louis Prima and Keely Smith, and Duke Ellington records all the time when we were growing up. Television wasn't allowed except for special occasions but jazz records were allowed almost anytime. Even after playing "Bitches Brew" for him my dad's love of jazz did not sway (although acid jazz wasn't his cup of tea). I thank God I was educated from an early age and taught to be an aficionado of all things jazz.
