I love jazz because... if you have to ask ... I was first exposed to jazz... as a child via parents' recordds I met [musician name]... Dizzy, Toots The best show I ever attended was... many: Joe Pass, Dizzy, Miles, Michael Brecker, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones The first jazz record I bought was... My advice to new listeners... learn about the different styles. The term and concept of "Jazz" is enormously wide & varied. It's a bit like saying you're in the field of "medicine" - bone dr? heart dr? researcher? child medicine? surgeon? nurse? pharmacist? xray technician? oncology? Or whatever else you have in mind.
