Craig Arthur

A writer from Dunedin, New Zealand.

About Me

I spend most of my time writing a spy novel. I have also written numerous articles on James Bond. I am also a scholar of Alfred Hitchcock. I am one of the contributors to the book HITCHCOCK AND THE COLD WAR (Pace University Press, 2018).

In my spare time I help run the Dunedin Jazz Club here in Dunedin, New Zealand. We host regular concerts from premiere local and touring musicians at a venue called Hanover Hall. The venue is a converted church, much like New York's famed Columbia 30th Street Studio where so many great jazz albums were recorded.

My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz... Via a friend playing me Miles Davis's Kind Of Blue in 1988. It undid my earlier preconceptions about jazz.
