My Jazz Story

I love jazz because...it is challenging and forces musicians to listen while playing ensemble I was first exposed to jazz...listening to old blues artists like Memphis Slim, Lonnie Johnson, T-Bone Walker, etc I met [musician name]... The best show I ever attended was... The first jazz record I bought was... My advice to new listeners... Or whatever else you have in mind.

My House Concert Story

I used to play them frequently in the Grand Rapids, MI. We were billed as a blues show but the guitarist/singer was real good with swing. We preferred to use Carolyn Cobell on cajon instead a drum kit. She is just wonderful and plays New Orleans, swing, world beats, latin styles expertly. I wish we could have done more with that line-up.
