This unique and versatile vocalist has a sound that is distinctly her own. The daughter of a professional musician, Elissa Lala grew up in Philadelphia, where she began doing background vocal sessions when only in her teens at Philly's Sigma Sound Studios. She has performed at every major venue on the east coast, thus eventually leading her to relocate to Los Angeles where she has recorded with jazz artists such as Narada Michael Walden, Michel Legrand, Alex Acuna, Pat Martino, Bennie Maupin, Bobby Lyle, Oscar Brashear, Luis Conte, Tommy Tedesco and Kermit Driscoll, Mick Rossi, Johnnie Valentino, Sherman  Ferguson. Her voice was heard throughout the world singing the theme to an ABC miniseries entitled “Crossings” (music by Michel Legrand). Other film and TV credits include “Dirty Dancin”, “The Dorothy Stratten Story”, “The World's Greatest Magic Show” (NBC), “The True Story of Bonnie and Clyde” (Fox) and a host of A&E documentaries. As a writer she has co-written with Narada Michael Walden and Pat Martino. Elissa's first CD, “Promises of the Heart” was distributed by the Rep Co. on Four Winds Records.
