Matthew Postle

About Me

Matt Postle (b. 1982, Seattle, WA) is the currently holder of prestigious Sir Jack Lyons Research Scholarship at the University of York in England. He is studying for his PhD in Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation.

Matthew has performed at major contemporary and jazz music festivals in the UK, Italy, Austria, Norway, Australia, USA, and Canada. He has also worked with musicians and ensembles ranging from Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor, Ralph Alessi, and Tyshawn Sorey, to members of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the ICP Orchestra, Norwegian Wind Ensemble, and Airmen of Note Big Band.
