He loves all music, but it's jazz that touches his soul.

My appreciation and love of jazz come from living in the city of its birth. Music is such a part of the New Orleans culture and experience that we identify with it beyond the norm - it defines us, our past, our present and our future. I recall being introduced to this uniquely American art form on Sunday mornings at home, hearing the music of Armstrong, Ellington, and Basie. Ours was a musical household as my mother, father and siblings appreciated all things musical and it was not unusual to hear the sounds of Gershwin followed by those of Stan Kenton.

For me, music is life and Jazz is the pulse.
