Born in Boston, I was raised in a family with a great love of music and connections to diverse cultural influences that provided rich soil for my musical growth. My love of singing drew mer to music that lyrically expressed the universal, across genres, but jazz was imprinted on my soul and remains a constant influence. I moved to San Diego where I began classical vocal training at the age of twelve. In the years that followed, I continued to develop my voice, singing in various chamber groups. Additionally, I pursued private vocal training as well as direction in style and technique. Being accepted to the Berklee College of Music brought me back to Boston where my horizons are expanding. Encouraged by my voice instructor, I have added some R & B to my repertoire. I believe that this influence gives my style and song selection a different edge. Outside of class, and during visits home to San Diego, I regularly participate in jazz jams. I will be graduating from Berklee as a professional music major next December.
