My Jazz Story

I come from a family of musicians, my grandfather played violin, mandolin, guitar and banjo. My dad was a mandolin player who played by ear and man' he was a monster mandolin player. Almost everyone in my family played or sang Italian songs like “C’e La Luna Mezzo Mare” which tells the story of a young woman who wants to get married and we often would play music, eat delicious Italian food and have a great time together. I started listening to Jazz when I was 14 y/o it was the Oscar Peterson Trio with Ray Brown on bass and Ed Thigpin on drums. That was the beginning of my jazz journey and it has led me to a wonderful life.
