My Jazz Story

I love jazz. I was first exposed to jazz when my parents used to take me to the Jazz Workshop in Boston when I was a baby. I once got to shake Horace Silver's hand. That was when I made the decision to start trying to play piano...I was already a grown up by then. One of the best shows I ever attended was when Eric Reed played at The New Haven Lounge in Baltimore. My advice to new jazz listeners is to actually listen without doing something else. You'll hear things you don't usually hear in other styles of music. And if nothing else, it's great therapy for A.D.D.
