My Jazz Story

I love jazz because anything can happen, jazz is all around us. I was first exposed to jazz as a young man growing up in Albany. I met Herbie Hancock when he performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. The best show I ever attended was not a jazz concert. A brass band at a cumbia festival in Colombia was the best show I've ever seen. The first jazz record I bought was John Scofield "Hand Jive." My advice to new listeners listen to everything!
