My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it's one of the most expressive art forms and has freedom within musical disciplines. I was first exposed to jazz from my parents vinyl collection and TV theme tunes. I didn't realise just how good those tunes were and how many great players were involved and how much they would influence me till I started to play, I love the skill and talent and know the dedication and time it takes to be a Jazz Musician. I am lucky to have met Buddy Rich, Chick Corea, Steve Gadd, Darius Brubeck, Dennis Chambers, and Will Kennedy and seen Weather Report also the Yellowjackets Live. I love discovering new artists like Snarky Puppy and Dirty Loops. My advice to new listeners: look back first, then forward.
