The Transgress signed to an American label: ROPEADOPE! Their debut album to be available worldwide.

The Transgress have just signed a contract with the American label: ROPEADOPE and have become the only Polish band so far to have signed to the label known to have released music by famous acts like Medeski, Martin & Wood, Tin Hat Trio, Sex Mob, Critters Buggin or Jazzanova.

The digital version of THE TRANSGRESS's debut album is set for release by ROPEADOPE in November 2010 and it will be available worldwide. In the meantime, the band are in talks with a Polish label on releasing the CD version of the album in Poland.

The Transgress, is a group of young Polish instrumentalists, provoked into by-definition-unlimited music activities by Marcin A. Steczkowski--a musician associated with the acoustic /alternative scene and member of Orange the Juice. The Transgress comprise five talented musicians, namely: Piotrek Cebula--violino; Michał Zaborski--viola; Erwin Żebro--trumpet, flugelhorn; Maciek Kosztyła--tenor saxophone, clarinet; Marcin Yadah--double bass; Grzesiek Masłowski--drums and the band's founder Marcin A. Steczkowski-- piano, keyboards, sounds. The Transgress are a laureate of the Foundation for the Development of Young Talents FERMATA, which supports exceptionally gifted young artists of all artistic genres. FERMATA's support has made it possible for Transgress to record their debut album comprising alternative pieces performed with the use of classical music instruments. The Transgress performed at Warsaw's Sala Kongresowa supporting the American trio known as “groove jazz prophets"--Medeski, Martin & Wood and has also performed at annual and prestigious TZADIK POZNAN FESTIVAL 2009
