Los Angeles-based jazz pianist and composer, George Kahn, has been recording professionally since 1985. And, Mr. Kahn has been releasing a new commercial recording just about every two years on his own Playing Records" label since 1998--almost like clockwork. He participated in the original digital music revolution of the '90s, using the Internet to promote his recordings at such digital distribution websites like the initial MP3.com, the long defunkt Riffage.com and several others of that era.
Mr. Kahn joined the Artists Recording Collective shortly after it was formed in 2007, both he and his Playing Records label are promoted and marketed within the context of the ARC artist roster as well.
The hallmark of a GEORGE KAHN (and Playing Records) release is high quality--across the board, from: music selection, arrangements, and the hiring of top LA studio musicians; to: professionally designed packaging, product manufacturing and world-wide distribution of CDs and downloads.
GEORGE KAHN's latest release is SECRETS FROM THE JAZZ GHETTO. The CD is in production, the artwork has been signed off, and the release date is set for June 15.
