AROUND MANHATTAN HISTORICAL JAZZ CRUISE

Take a journey through time aboard this 'round Manhattan excursion that features live jazz music with historical background as you view the iconic skyline sites of Manhattan!

Light commentary on the cultural and economic forces that shaped the evolution of this music connects the jazz pieces to the sites as you cruise around the entire island of Manhattan and through a century of New York City Jazz History aboard our 1920's style yacht, Manhattan.

Hosted by Mike McGarril and the Classic Harbor Line Jazz Trio (all graduates of the New School for Jazz Performance), you'll experience a comfortable and unique cruise through the Hudson, East and Harlem Rivers with gorgeous 360-degree views of the island from our climate-controlled observatory. On this 2.75 hour cruise, you'll journey around the entire island of Manhattan while listening and learning to the past century of NYC jazz. Specific highlights include:

  • The Empire State Building, Upper West Side and Harlem River

  • Live band performs compositions by Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker and from the Great American Songbook

  • Parts of the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens and the complete NYC skyline

  • The United Nations & the Williamsburg, Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges of the East River

  • The New York Harbor icons: the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island




One complimentary beverage will be provided along with an assortment of light hors d' oeuvres.

SUNDAY EVENING JAZZ CRUISE ABOARD YACHT MANHATTAN

Cruise New York City's famous harbor aboard the 1920's style yacht Manhattan while listening to live jazz music by the Classic Harbor Line Jazz Trio! Sit back and enjoy the gorgeous view of the New York skyline and her quintessential lower Manhattan harbor sites. The band sets an extra festive, jazzy mood by playing selections from the Great American Songbook and pieces by NYC jazz legends such as Duke Ellington and Charlie Parker (just to name a few)!

On this 1.5-hour Live Jazz cruise, take in picturesque views from our glassed-in observatory. Highlights along the way include:



  • Battery Park, South Street Seaport and the Financial District

  • Governor's Island, The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

  • Parts of Brooklyn and Queens and the New York City skyline

  • The Williamsburg, Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges of the East River




A complimentary beer, wine or champagne from the bar is offered on all trips. Mixed drinks are available for purchase. And the band does take requests (including “Happy Birthday")!
