About Paradise, California

Paradise is nestled in the foothills of the Northern California's Sierra Nevada Mountains. The Butte County community sits astride a ridge top with elevations ranging from 2,000 to 2,800 feet above the valley floor. Our climate and location allows residents and visitors to enjoy an array of tall pines and majestic oaks, cooler summertime temperatures, occasional winter snowfalls, and an engaging environment.

Paradise is the second largest city in Butte County, and is part of the Chico-Paradise metropolitan area. Paradise was incorporated in 1979, and it is home to nearly 27,000 residents. Paradise is a short drive from the Bay Area and the Sacramento region. The drive takes you along historic and scenic highways 99 and 70, and past the orchards and rice fields. A spring time drive along the Blossom Tour is a must see.

Rich in history, innate beauty, and friendly people, Paradise is fantastic place to raise a family, build a business, or just relax for a weekend in the pines.
