April Williams' Red Carpet Jazz Series Upstairs at Vitello's Restaurant in Studio City will present a rare performance of Jazz trombonists Bill Reichenbach & Alex Iles and their Be-bop Quintet at 8:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. Wednesday October 28, 2009. The Quintet will feature

Alex Iles, trombone
Bill Reichenbach, bass trombone
Bevan Manson, piano
Matthew Gordy, drums
Mike Valerio, bass

As a studio players, Bill & Alex have played on about 800 records, 500 motion pictures, and countless TV shows and jingles. Bill's jazz quartet album featuring Peter Erskine on drums, Jimmy Johnson on bass, and Biff Hannon on piano, reached number 10 on the national jazz radio play lists. Bill has recorded three albums with Mike Davis--Bonetown, Brass Nation and most recently, New Brass.

Upstairs at Vitello's has become known as “LA"S best listening room" through the presentation of the Red Carpet Jazz series since February earlier this year.The club has been hailed in the likes of the clubs in the sixties such as Dontes and Carmelo's.
