The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts welcomes world-renowned jazz trumpeter Herb Alpert and his wife, famed jazz vocalist Lani Hall, for a unique one-night show

Husband and wife pair will perform hits from their recently released album Anything Goes

Philadelphia, PA -- The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts welcomes legendary jazz trumpeter Herb Alpert and his wife, noted jazz vocalist Lani Hall for a special one-night only performance on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 7:30 PM. Tickets for the performance are $20-$45. For tickets or for more information, please visit AnnenbergCenter.org or call 215.898.3900. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Annenberg Center Box Office.

Part of a rare national tour, this illustrious team is making a stop in Philadelphia to perform original arrangements from their recently released album, Anything Goes, a live collection of beautifully reinterpreted standards. The album marks the first time that Alpert and Hall have recorded a complete album together and is Alperts first new album in 10 years. Alperts signature expressive trumpet and Halls emotive voice blend seamlessly together, making this album a marvelous, impeccably presented and produced performance (All About Jazz).

Music legend and trumpet player as well as producer, band leader and A&M Records label co-founder, Herb Alpert, a eight-time Grammy winner, has sold more than 72 million albums worldwide as a musician and bandleader of the groundbreaking group, the Tijuana Brass. Lani Halls own Grammy-award winning career as a vocalist stretches from the 1960s, when she amassed hits as lead singer with Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66.

The duo will be joined by Bill Cantos (keyboards, background vocals), Michael Shapiro (drums and percussion) and Hussain Jiffrey electric bass).

This performance marks Herb Alpert and Lani Halls Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts debut.
