Ed Laub

Born in Upper Saddle River, NJ in 1952, Ed began playing the guitar at age 12.

After studying with various teachers in and around the Bergen county area, he took lessons with the outstanding guitarist and banjo player, Bobby Domenic (uncle to jazz legend, Bucky Pizzarelli)

Less than a year later, Ed began studying under the guidance of Bucky Pizzarelli and started playing the 7 string guitar in 1969. .

In 1974 after graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ with a degree in Business and Music he followed a dual career in both music and business.

Ed is currently seen in local area restaurants and Jazz Clubs performing with some of New Jersey's finest guitarists and musicians. .

Ed, who is both a guitarist and vocalist, has performed with such great artists as Bucky Pizzarelli, Gene Bertoncini, John Pizzarelli, Paul Meyers, Martin Pizzarelli, Lenny Argese, Frank Vignola, Bill Wurtzel, Jack Wilkins, Howard Alden and a special guest appearance with the late Kenny Rankin.

Ed is married to his wife Bonnie, a classical vocalist/pianist and music teacher for 37 years and has two children, Krystle-Lynn and Adam.
