Drivetime has been carving a niche for themselves in the very tight smooth jazz market for over eight years and are no strangers to the ups and downs of having to survive with a six-piece Urban Organic Jazz. Drivetime has became internationally known by using the tools available to get their music out to listeners around the globe releasing four CD’s on iTunes, CD-Baby and Amazon.com and being in rotation on internet and terrestrial radio since Drivetime’s brake out single Getin’ Witit 2009 featuring Bob Baldwin. Using Facebook and Twitter Drivetime has increased their popularity with listeners/fans and has gained a #1 ranking on sites like N1M and Reverbnation. With the announcement of personnel changes to the line-up, Gene Terramani (Hotel Eden - 101 South Records) on guitar and new energy provided by Mike Ruhl on bass, JJ Zeller on drums and 20-year-old sax sensation Shane Arnold promises to elevate and excite even the most discriminate listener. Touting the success of California Dreamin' where the CD rose to #23 on the Smoothjazz.com charts, #7 on BDS radio chart, and had 32,787 Impressions on Internet Broadcast Charts. Whispers the second single from the CD received 22,226 Impressions and became the #1 most added track in February 9, 2016 on the Billboard Jazz Charts the day after its release. Drivetime has announced their upcoming new single Mr. Mango will be due out in April 2017 and promises to be a melodically soulful and rhythmic ride as only Drivetime can deliver. Philadelphia, Pa: Urban Organic Jazz sextet Drivetime is pleased to announce they have signed a national distribution deal with GJtunes (Global Journey Media) and their CD’S are available for purchase in major retailers including Wal-Mart, Kmart and Target.
