“Aphrodite's Tears” by The Vicky Tilson Quartet
From
Tales From a Forgotten City (Self Produced) by The Vicky Tilson Quartet
Editor's Comments
Nice EP from this UK quartet. A lyrical touch without ever getting too introspective and self-absorbed. Easy to like and has me wanting to hear more.
About
This track is inspired by the tune URSULA by English composer and pianist Michael Garrick. It is supposed to evoke a time and place far from now where Aphrodite weeps for her lost lover, a human being who could not face the transformation to god-like status to be with her.
Personnel: Nick Wilkinson (alto & soprano saxes), Ben NcDonnell (electric guitar), Vicky Tilson (double bass & compositions), and Saul Holding (drums).
This track appears by permission of contributing artist and/or record company.
It is for personal use only; no other rights are granted or implied.
