Sort of an odd tune that I find myself listening to repeatedly. The artist, in their above section, does a real decent job describing the sound. It begins and ends with the New Piano Trio sound a la Jacob Karlzon, but transition in the middle to a funk groove. It threw me off the first couple times, but the thing of it is... it works. Neat stuff.

The track Moment of Truth is part of new promo material I recently recorded with my Seattle-based trio, PLS Trio. It features an open modern Jazz ECM kind of sound, as well as a more groove-oriented funk one during the solo section. Personnel: Pier Luigi Salami (piano), Bennet Pullen (electric bass), Christian Carlson (drums).
